MENORCA

The Balearic Islands lie in the Mediterranean sea, to the east of the Iberian Peninsula.   Menorica is the quietest of the three islands, which include Ibiza and Majorca, with some 100 hidden beaches and coves.   

The island is divided into two regions.   The more rugged north has beaches of reddish sand and most beautiful landscapes.   The south has a more gentle relief, with a coastline of cliffs, gullies covered in pine trees and coves of golden sand.   The natural beauty and seclusion are perhaps the main reasons why this island is a popular destination for home buyers.

The capital of Minorca is Mahon (east) and the former capital is Ciutadella (west) both being on the coast, and with their own distinct style.
