Dandakaio Villa is located in Cherry Hill on the North West side of Carriacou. It is on

a hillside (over 300 feet above sea-level) and offers cooling breezes and a stunning panorama. It also has the advantage of being only a short distance from the nearest beach.

Dandakaio was designed by Charles Knowles, a leading international architect,

and built by some of the islands finest tradesmen. The villa benefits from large verandas, spacious living areas and vaulted ceilings to maximise the cooling breezes and provide a balance between shade and sun. The open plan layout provides continuous spaces that are light and naturally ventilated by banks of handcrafted wooden jalousies. The cathedral ceilings are vented in the gable ends to maximise airflow throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern stainless steel appliances, black granite work surfaces and finished with cherry wood cabinets. There is a Laundry room, as well as a store room for equipment.

On the ground floor of the house there is a large covered outdoor patio with a floor of Carriacou stone. A few steps lead up to the well appointed main living area which is furnished with hand crafted furniture and large Italian floor tiles. From the lounge two sets of double French doors lead on to the dining veranda which affords spectacular views over Hillsborough Bay and the outlying islands of Carriacou. Large wooden steps lead from the dining veranda to the sundeck and the infinity edge plunge pool.

The master bedroom is ensuite with an ‘open’ shower feature and a hardwood floor, and there is a second bathroom servicing the other two bedrooms. The bathrooms are finished with Italian tumbled marble tiles and high quality fittings. Each bedroom has double French doors which open on to a cool covered veranda which runs the length of the villa.

Water is collected from the roof and stored in a large cistern of approximately 40,000 gallons.  The property is fully fenced and secured and the gardens are landscaped.

There is a DSL internet connection and Cable TV. The electricity supply is 220v 50Hz.
